Alora Safari Co. was born in 2011 out of a necessity for change. Amanda Folz, the owner and designer for Alora Safari Co., was living out her mornings with 24 tiny toddlers, gluing shapes to cardboard cut-outs and wiping noses as a pre-school teacher. She loved her job working with children, but as a new mommy her heart yearned to care for her own child. One day she decided that life was too short to settle for less than her heart’s desires and she embarked on her Dream Journey: To be the best mommy and wife she could be, make beautiful clothing, and impact others one smile at a time.

The words “Alora Safari” translate to English as “My Dream Journey” … It is funny how God opens doors for us to pursue our passions and use our gifts. When Amanda was a teenager she had books of clothing designs and sketches, but as she grew she put them away to pursue a more “realistic” future. Now she designs and sews beautiful clothing, stays at home with her two little boys, and enjoys her business’ involvement in overseas ministry: advocating for victims of trafficking and exploitation.

Together, we encourage you to follow your passions and never dismiss a dream. Amanda can honestly say that she is much happier as a seamstress and designer than she was in a profession that was not her passion.
